BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to two BBMP engineers accused in the multicrore scam in the implementation of development works in three BBMP divisions.
Hearing petitions filed by BBMP engineers H N Prabhakar and Shivamallu, Justice K N Keshavanarayana granted the anticipatory bail and directed them to cooperate with the investigation, not destroy or tamper with the evidences or influence the witnesses.
The engineers are accused of being involved in irregularities to the tune of `1,540 crore in Malleswaram, Gandhinagar and Rajarajeshwarinagar in three years.
On Tuesday, the court ordered the BBMP to probe all works implemented in the last three years in 29 divisions of the city.
