Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to consider party workers while making nominations to various boards and corporations.

At a KPCC general body meet here on Tuesday, Kharge said that thousands of party workers toiled hard and contributed their might to bring the party to power. Now the time has come to recognise their services, he said, adding it will also help the party to perform well in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Union Ministers Oscar Fernandes and K H Muniyappa also endorsed the views of Kharge.

‘Make KPCC Chief Deputy CM’

Office-bearers of the KPCC submitted a memorandum to AICC General Secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka Digvijay Singh here on Tuesday demanding deputy chief minister’s post to KPCC president G Parameshwara.

The memorandum was signed by over 107 office-bearers of the KPCC. In reply, Digvijay has reportedly assured to convey their feelings to party supremo Sonia Gandhi.
