State JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy - EPS

Leader of Opposition in the Assembly H D Kumaraswamy alleged that the state government put intelligence sleuths behind him to track his daily movements.

At a press conference organised by Bangalore Reporters’ Guild and Press Club of Bangalore on Wednesday, he said: “I knew the intelligence sleuths are tracking my movements and keeping an eye on people I meet daily. This is not the first time that I am being observed by intelligence sleuths. It was also done by former CM B S Yeddyurappa.”

He said the Chief Minister  should ask the intelligence staff to keep an eye on the ministers to track their movements.

“The wickets would start tumbling if the CM resorts to subject his ministerial colleagues under surveillance,” he added.

Comed-K seats

Alleging large scale irregularities in allotment of seats by the Comed-K, the Opposition Leader sought to know why the CM was not ready to order a probe into ‘seat blocking’ by the private colleges. “Siddaramaiah, who ordered a CID probe into many scandals, is not ready to order a probe in this regard. First of all, the government did not have any control on private colleges as many of them belonged to Congress legislators and ministers,” he added.

‘No coordination’

The Opposition Leader charged that there was lack of coordination between the CM and ministers on many issues. “AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh’s statement on constituting a coordination committee has given a feeling that all is not well in the government. It is common to have a coordination committee if there is a coalition government. This shows there are two teams in the Congress - one Janata Dal ‘A’ team and the original Congress team,” he added.
