'Can’t have all PMs photos in chamber'

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has clarified that it was not possible to put up photographs of all former Prime Ministers’ at his chamber in Vidhana Soudha.

He was replying to a question raised by N Chaluvarayaswamy of JD(S) about the alleged removal of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda’s photograph from his (CM’s) chamber in the Assembly on Wednesday.

Siddaramaiah categorically said: “It is not possible to have the photographs of all former Prime Ministers in my chamber. Four to five framed photographs of several former Prime Ministers have been removed from the chamber.

“However, photographs of all the previous Chief Ministers are put in the Cabinet Hall. This has not been done with any vengeance.”

KJP Floor leader and former CM B S Yeddyurappa said that there is no harm in having Deve Gowda’s photograph at the Chief Minister’s chamber and asked him to keep it.
