Panchaloha idols stolen in Dharwad

Two Panchaloha idols were stolen from the Parshwanath Digambar Jain temple in Kotabagi village of Dharwad taluk on Saturday night.

The six inch Jwalamalini and four inch Parshwanath idols were likely stolen when the temple was kept open for devotees from 6 am to 7 pm. Hundreds of devotees had performed special pooja on the occasion of ‘Chaturmasa’. On Sunday morning, the priests who went for routine poojas found the two idols missing and brought it to the notice of the community leaders.  A complaint has been lodged in this regard at the Garag police station.
