A married woman was allegedly tortured by her husband and in-laws for working at a motel against their wishes in Sira taluk on Monday night. The victim, K Saraswati, with severe injuries on her private parts, was admitted to the district general hospital on Tuesday.
She was married to Babu alias Babu Naika of Emmerahalli Tanda. She was working as cashier at Kamath Motel for three years. Her husband and in-laws had asked her to quit her job. When she did not pay heed, the husband, mother-in-law Rami Bai and sister-in-law Rukmini Bai attacked her.
