The Chief Minister should strip Lad from the ministership immediately failing which the BJP would raise the issue from day one of the Belgaum session.

Siddaramaiah was not ready to drop Lad despite documents released by Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya chief S R Hiremath showing the alleged involvement of Lad in illegal mining, he added.

The BJP said the Chief Minister’s chair was shaking and Siddaramaiah would not continue to hold the post after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections because of the swift developments within the Congress. Development has come to a standstill in the state and no minister was coming to the Vidhana Soudha.
