People Afraid of Congmen, Says AAP

Residents of Kanakapura are afraid of antagonising Congress supporters that they are refusing to accept pamphlets distributed by AAP workers

Residents of Kanakapura and other areas are so afraid of antagonising Congress supporters that they are refusing to accept pamphlets distributed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers, AAP candidate for Bangalore Rural Ravi Krishna Reddy said on Tuesday.

He told reporters that the Election Commission should take cognizance of this and ensure that the elections are free and fair.Even when S R Hiremath, who is popular for his crusade against corruption, came to campaign for the party, people were not willing to come near him.

Some Congress supporters also shouted slogans to scare AAP workers.

Reddy said the single window system to issue permissions for vehicles and others for campaigning is not operating properly. “We have to approach different desks, police station and other agencies to get clearance. Hence, why should we refer to it as a single window?” Reddy said.
