The BJP on Wednesday released a separate manifesto for Chikballapur constituency promising scientific implementation of the Yettinahole project and a circular railway connecting it to Bangalore city.
After releasing the manifesto here, party candidate B N Bachche Gowda told reporters that he will trounce his opponents — former CMs Veerappa Moily and H D Kumaraswamy.
The manifesto dwells extensively on the perennial drought in the constituency. The Yettinahole project will be implemented scientifically. Efforts will be made for total implementation of the Paramashivaiah report to bring water to the parched constituency, it said.
It also assured the people that the party would exert pressure on the state government to constitute a South-East Karnataka Water Board to provide drinking water to Bangalore Rural, Chikballapur and Kolar districts.
Efforts will be made to establish an apparel park, a milk power unit, cattle fodder unit in Chikballapur, and industrial estates in Bagepalli and Gauribidanur, the manifesto says.
