All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi will be in Karnataka for two days from February 15.  During his visit he will interact with party workers, women, farmers and editors of various media houses.

KPCC president G Parameshwara told reporters here on Saturday that Rahul will address a rally in Belgaum on February 15 and also interact with general public on the same day.

Rahul will address the Congress women’s wing rally in Tumkur on February 16 and participate in road-shows at Kunigal, Mandya, Maddur, T Narasipur and Chamarajanagar on the way to Mysore.

To a question, he said the AICC Screening Committee, which almost finalised the list of party candidates from Karnataka for the upcoming LS elections, will submit its recommendations to Sonia Gandhi on February 17.

He, however, refused to reveal the names shortlisted by the committee.

On fielding Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa from the Shimoga LS constituency, he said: “Kagodu is capable of shouldering any responsibility entrusted by the party leadership.”

On reports of roping in former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin from the Bidar Lok Sabha seat, he said: “I am not aware of it.”
