Congress leaders, belonging to Muslim community who met separately on Tuesday night, have reportedly decided to demand the party high command to give at least three, if not four party tickets to the community in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

According to sources, Municipal Administration Minister Qamarul Islam, Information Minister R Roshan Baig, several MLAs including Tanvir Rait, and others took part in the meeting along with former Union ministers C K Jaffer Sharief and C M Ibrahim.

The leaders who spoke at the meeting are learnt to have displayed unity and decided to impress upon the party’s central leaders to concede their demands.

They also reportedly decided to urge the party to field Jaffer Sharief from Bangalore Central where he has a better chance of                               winning.
