The BJP Mahila Morcha has threatened to stage a protest in front of the Chief Minister’s residence if the government does not ensure the security of women in Bangalore soon.

A resolution to this effect was passed at the Morcha’s State Executive Committee meeting held on Saturday.

The meeting observed that the government has failed to curb anti-social elements in the State. The miscreant who attacked a bank officer inside an ATM kiosk was still at large. Murders and assaults are taking place even near police stations, and it looks like K J George is Home Minister just for namesake, the Morcha members said.

They observed that George had failed to convene a meeting of senior police officers to chalk out plans to control the increasing crime rate.  Even Governor H R Bhardwaj had expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order in the State, and the Home Minister should take stringent steps before the situation went out of control, they said.
