A Russian national died and five others injured when their vehicle was hit by a speeding lorry on the Dharwad-Alnavar road near Mandihal bus stand on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Nelita Sidorova (26) of Russia.
Rural police said the incident occurred at around 8 am. The Russian nationals were travelling in a jeep from Goa to Hampi when the lorry collided their vehicle.
The injured have been admitted to SDM and KIMS hospitals in Dharwad and Hubli. A case is registered in this regard with Rural Police station.
