BANGALORE: The Election Commission on Friday issued notification for the by-elections in three Legislative Assembly constituencies - Bellary (ST), Shikaripura and Chikkodi-Sadalaga. The by-elections will be held on August 21 and the counting will be done on August 25.
The model code of conduct with respect to tours of ministers and transfers of election related officers will be applicable to the entire districts. Restrictions on new schemes will be applicable to the respective Assembly constituencies.The by-elections were necessitated following the election of B S Yeddyurappa, B Sreeramulu and Prakash Hukkeri to the Lok Sabha.
