While Women and Child Welfare Minister Umashree was gheraoed by activists of Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists in Kolar, Home Minister K J George was confronted by members of the Kodagu district BJP.

Umashree was mobbed by ABVP members while she was on her way to  the DC’s Office, giving police some anxious moments.  In Madikeri, condemning the government for ‘failing to protect women and children’, district BJP staged a protest when George arrived on the Fort premises to conduct a meeting on Saturday.
