Identity of Woman’s Body Established

Nandini Layout police on Sunday established the identity of a 25-year-old woman who was bludgeoned to death on an under construction flyover at Kanteerava Nagar near Dr Rajkumar Memorial.

BANGALORE: Nandini Layout police on Sunday established the identity of a 25-year-old woman who was bludgeoned to death on an under construction flyover at Kanteerava Nagar near Dr Rajkumar Memorial.

The incident was reported on Saturday morning.

The victim is Suma, a resident of Manjunathanagar who was working as a computer operator in a school at Kurubarahalli. She married one Vinay about one-and-a-half years ago and he is absconding after the incident.Police said Vinay, who holds a diploma in mechanical engineering, works in a private company. The couple quarrelled over trivial issues and the exact reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained, the police said. 

Suma’s parents identified her body after seeing the hoardings put up by the police around the area.

Body Found

The highly decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found in a eucalyptus grove at Chikkabanahalli near Kadugodi on Saturday. The deceased, aged around 25 years, was murdered elsewhere and the body dumped at the grove, police said.
