Unable to tolerate her mother's alleged infidelity, a 17-year-old girl stabbed her mother to death last week in Mutyanatti village of Belgaum taluk.
The teenage girl stabbed Renuka Halappa Gurav, whom she accused of having promiscuous relationships with a few men. She later surrendered to the police. The girl told the police that she often felt embarrassed among her friends and had asked her mother to rectify herself.
As Renuka refused to listen, the upset daughter took the drastic step.
50-day Search for Missing Mother
A 40-year-old son along with five other family members has been searching for his missing mother for the past 50 days.
Railway employee Yelgouda Fakirappa Nirvani has been looking for his 60-year-old mother Avvakka Fakirappa Nirvani, who has been missing from her house at Dasanatti village in Gokak taluk since March 12.
A complaint was lodged with Ankalagi police, who have passed the missing complaint to other police stations and informed people through the media.
