KPCC Panel Meeting will not Discuss Cabinet Reshuffle

The KPCC coordination panel meeting scheduled on Wednesday is unlikely to take any decision on a reshuffle of the Cabinet and nominations to the Legislative Council.

The KPCC coordination panel meeting scheduled on Wednesday is unlikely to take any decision on a reshuffle of the Cabinet and nominations to the Legislative Council.

The meeting will only take stock of the party’s performance in the April 17 Lok Sabha elections.

According to party sources, the meeting has been organised as AICC general secretary and party in-charge of Karnataka Digvijay Singh will visit the state capital on Tuesday.

Parameshwara told Express that some names could be discussed for nomination to the Upper House. But it is unlikely that the committee will broach the subject of Cabinet reshuffle. Appointment of party workers to state-owned boards and corporations may dominate the proceedings, he said.

However, a KPCC office-bearer told Express that the meeting, which is being held two days ahead of counting for the Lok Sabha polls, is of no significance.
