MYSORE: Only 11 out of the 14 elephants took part in the Jamboo Savari on Saturday. Three elephants — Srirama, Gopalaswamy and Durgaparameshwari — did not participate in the procession because of various reasons.

According to sources, Srirama was injured on its leg on Friday while Gopalaswamy and Durgaparameshwari appeared to be unprepared to take part in the procession.

Meanwhile, ‘Ane Gadi’, chariot with musicians on board carried by elephant Abhimanyu, returned from Highway Circle, just before Bannimantap, as the elephant was unable to move forward.
