Two-headed Snake Seized, 5 Held

KOLAR: Chintamani police arrested five people and seized a two-headed snake from them on Sunday. According to sources, Vadivagan, Karthik, Murugan, Parveen and Harikrishna of Chennai, Ramana Nagar and Kamaraj Nagar, reportedly struck a deal with one Venkatesh of Giripalli in Bagepalli taluk of Chikballapur district to purchase a two-headed snake. They paid an advance of Rs 1 lakh a month ago.

It is said that on Sunday, they came to the village in a car, paid the balance of Rs 2 lakh and took the snake.

After they left the place, Venkatesh noticed that except for Rs 6,000, the other notes were fake. He attempted to catch them but did not succeed.

Smelling something fishy, police chased the car and caught hold of them and seized the snake. They are in search of  Venkatesh, the prime accused.People believe that keeping a two-headed snake in the house brings fame and wealth.
