Adopt Hoblis, Says Minister

BANGALORE : Every scientist must adopt a hobli and work with farmers, said Agriculture Minister Krishna Byregowda on Wednesday.

Speaking at the foundation day and award ceremony of the University of Agriculture Sciences, Bangalore (UAS-B) on Wednesday, the minister said, “Farmers are in a better state than they were earlier but things could get better. Each scientist must go, visit and adopt a hobli and work with the farmers.”

He said the state government will submit a memorandum on the drought condition prevailing in Ramanagaram, Kolar, Chikballapur, Bangalore Rural and parts of Tumkur to the Centre.
