Eshwarappa Appears Before Court

BELLARY: A court in Bellary on Saturday ordered former deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa to appear before it on Friday.

The court had issued non-bailable warrant against Eshwarappa and three others   following their failure to appear before the court on October 20.

Eshwarappa and three others were booked for violation of model code of conduct during the bypolls to Bellary Rural in 2011.

They face charges of misuse of religious place at Sanganakal village for electioneering.

On Saturday morning, the counsel to Eshwarappa and others submitted an advancement application. Acting on it, the judge directed them to appear before the court at 3 pm. When they appeared, the court directed them to appear again on Friday.
