MYSURU: Burglars who entered a bankers and jewellery shop in the city after digging a tunnel to it on Sunday, returned empty handed after their failed bid to open the locker.
The incident which occurred at Hari Bankers and Jewellery Shop came to light on Monday morning when its owner Ammram opened it. The CCTV cameras installed in the shop had been switched off while closing the shop on Sunday at 10 pm.
Police said the burglars first entered into a closed storm water drain and then dug up a tunnel to the shop which was enough for a person to sneak inside. Police commissioner B Dayanand confirmed that nothing has been stolen.Â
