BENGALURU: Police on Thursday arrested a 61-yearold NRI businessman on charges of sexually harassing a woman, who he had allegedly locked in a flat for months. Police raided the flat in Hulimavu on Bannerghatta Road and rescued the Nepalese woman. The accused, Vinod Malhotra, was running a business in Doha, Qatar. He is said to have duped the woman by bringing her to the city saying he would get her a job in a beauty parlour. He had also warned the woman not to contact anyone from her family. During interrogation, Malhotra said he had several beauty parlours in India, Dubai and in Doha. One of the employees of his beauty parlour in Goa had referred the victim to Malhotra, he said. Based on a tip-off, police raided the house and rescued the woman.
