9 Men Worked at Kaiga With Fake Certificates

KARWAR: In a major breach of security, nine people were found to have worked at the Kaiga Nuclear Power Corporation in Uttar Kannada district for nine months by producing fake police verification certificates.

It is said that the men used to work at a hotel in Bengaluru, and a contractor had brought them to work in the canteen at Kaiga.

The incident came to light after officials of the power corporation lodged a complaint in this regard with the police recently. With the station in the hit-list of terror outfits, this security breach is a cause of concern.  Sources told Express that the police are investigating if the people had any ulterior motives. The men are Anthoni A Barjo, Banifas Hangeria, Jinbas Benedict, Vishnu M Bedia, Nicolas B Purti, Doud D Barjo, Madhav M Topo, Santosh G Topo and Mahatma D Boro, all from Assam.
