HUBBALLI: Moorusavira Mutt Hitarakshana Samithi will take out a silent procession in the city on Sunday to exert pressure on Gurusidda Rajayogindra Swami to return to the Mutt, which he had left almost two months back.

The procession will start at 3.30 pm from Yeradettina Mutt and will culminate at Moorusavira Mutt after passing through the main thoroughfares of the city.

Samiti member and corporator Shivanand Muttanavar told reporters here on Monday that lakhs of devotees were hurt by the decision of the seer to leave the Mutt, and are desperately waiting for his return.

As many as 25 seers of various mutts, including Mantur Adavisiddheshwar Swamiji, Basavalinga Swamiji of Rudrakshi Muttand Navalgund Gavimutt Swamiji, along with thousands of devotees will take part in the procession, he said. The Samithi will also hold 25 public awareness meetings in Hubballi-Dharwad prior to the procession, he said.
