After a Year, Site Given to Bande’s Wife

KALABURAGI: Following  the State government directions, the district administration handed over a site document to Mallamma Bande, wife of slain sub-inspector Mallikarjun Bande.

DC Vipul Bansal and SP Amit Singh handed over the document of the site measuring 2,324 sqft is situated at MSK Mill (residential) Phase-1, worth Rs11.50 lakh, to Mallamma on Thursday.

Bande was shot dead by supari killer Munna in a shootout here on January 8, 2014. He died on January 15, 2014. The site was handed over to his wife exactly a year after the incident. Mallamma requested the DC and SP to posthumously honour Bande as he sacrificed his life while on duty
