Siddu not Against Dalit Becoming CM

KOPPAL: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said he was not against a dalit becoming CM, adding that there will be many opportunities for dalits to occupy the top post in the future.

Siddaramaiah, who was on his way to Raichur, told reporters that he would continue to be at the helm till his tenure ends.

He said the government would act tough against terrorists but added that innocent people would not be victimised in the process of ensuring that terror activities are curbed.

He also said he was confident that Governor Vajubhai Vala would approve the names recommended by the government to the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).

Minister H Anjaneya and former MP H Vishwanath accompanied the chief minister.
