Poojary Wants Action Against BHP Promoters

MANGALURU:Former Union minister B Janardhana Poojary on Thursday lambasted the promoters of the Bharatiya Hindu Parishad (BHP), which was recently endorsed by the state Congress.

He told reporters that Congress leaders have to serve according to the secular ideology of the party and if any member fails to do so, the  high command should take disciplinary action against them. “The Hindutva agenda of the BJP and Sangh Parivar has already damaged the secular fabric of the country and BHP will worsen it further,” Poojary said. “Congress leaders interested in forming Hindu groups should quit the party before doing so,” he said.

Puttur block Congress president Hemanatha Shetty and his supporters had launched the BHP to counter the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Sangh Parivar.
