BENGALURU: The supporters of Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader’s have filed a complaint at the Vidhana Soudha police station over photographs circulating on messaging app WhatsApp purporting to be that of his ‘daughter’ covered in gold ornaments.
The picture shows a girl in a wedding dress, and refers to Khader as a ‘gold minister’.
Police have registered a case under IT Act and are trying to identify the rumour mongers ‘causing embarrassment to the minister’s family’.
Incidentally, Khader has said his daughter is only 11 years old, and the girl in the picture is an unknown person.
The message has been doing the rounds for the last 10 days and reached the minister only a few days ago when some friends and relatives brought it to his notice.
