Joshi Demands CBI Probe

MYSURU: BJP state president Prahlad Joshi on Thursday urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order for a CBI probe into the Arkavathy land denotification scam, instead of trying to “blackmail former chief ministers from the BJP.”

Alleging that Siddaramaiah has not not shown courage to act against tainted ministers in his Cabinet, he said BJP will wage a legal battle against the chief minister in the land denotification scam. He said that BJP central leaders have given their nod in this regard and a team of party leaders will call on Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala soon. He said approaching Justice H S Kempanna Commission would not yield any result. Speaking to reporters, Joshi said that Siddaramaiah was blackmailing BJP by saying that several of its leaders would go to jail for their role in the land denotification scam.
