BJP Firm on Petitioning Governor

BENGALURU:BJP leader R Ashok has urged Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala to give appointments to those who wish to meet him to submit a resquest seeking his nod to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the alleged Arkavathy land denotification scam.

This comes after advocate Nataraj Sharma, who is backed by BJP’s legal cell, could not meet the Governor on Saturday.

Vala, who is also the Chancellor of Universities, was busy with Tumkur University convocation on Saturday. According to Raj Bhavan sources, the Governor is expected to meet him on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a programme, Ashok said that there is no question of BJP backing out of its campaign against Siddaramaiah in the Arkavathy row.
