UDUPI: There is no question of accepting Excise Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s resignation, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Wednesday.

He was speaking to the media after receiving the guard of honour at the Swaraj Maidan during his visit to Karkala near here.

He said, “Jarkiholi will be convinced to withdraw his resignation. I will meet him after my return to Bengaluru.” On H D Deve Gowda’s statement mocking his visit to Tirupati, Siddaramaiah said, “I believe in God, but not in rituals and black magic.”

Replying to Gowda’s suggestion that the Congress high command would make the CM resign over the Arkavathy issue, Siddaramaiah said Gowda had “no moral right to address the Congress high command”.  ens
