Gowda Predicts Govt’s Downfall

TUMAKURU: Former prime minister and Hassan Lok Sabha member H D Deve Gowda on Friday predicted that the Congress government in the state will not survive for long, given the political “upheavals” within the party. The JD(S) supremo attacked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the second day of the Tigala community convention where he said some leaders, “including the CM”, who used him as a stepping stone, have “no gratitude”.

He reminded them of the loyalty of Karna to Duryodhana in Mahabharata.“If some people think I will take political ‘sanyas’ it is their mistake,” he added.

JD(S) Made me DyCM, Not Gowda: CM

Speaking in Koppal, Siddaramaiah affirmed that it was JD(S) that helped him become the Deputy CM and not Gowda. Referring to allotment of land for JD(S), he   said it was in no way related either to the government or the Congress.
