K’buragi: Water crisis Worsens

The drinking water problem has further worsened in Kalaburagi district. The number of villages getting drinking water through tankers has increased to 210 from 180 in the last three days.  Official sources said 125 villages of Aland taluk, 36 of Chincholi taluk, 20 of Chittapur taluk, 10 of Afzalpur taluk, nine in Jewargi taluk, five villages each of Kalaburagi and Sedam taluk were getting drinking water through tankers.  Tankers were making two trips to each village daily, sources said.
