BENGALURU: Senior KAS officer K Mathai has written to the principal secretary to the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (DPAR) seeking an appointment with the Chief Minister to explain the harassment he has undergone in various departments. He has also expressed his desire to take voluntary retirement from service.
Mathai, who worked as Assistant Commissioner (Advertisements) in BBMP, was transferred from BBMP to DPAR and then transferred again from DPAR. At present, he’s awaiting posting. In an official communication to DPAR addressing the Principal Secretary, Mathai requested for a meeting with the Chief Minister.
The letter reads: “This is a request for enabling an immediate interview with the Chief Minister to explain various incidents of harassment by some officers and to request for justice before seeking retirement.”
Mathai, in the letter, also said, “I am compelled to seek premature retirement from government services, if I don’t get justice even at this stage.”
He requested for a meeting with the CM “to explain to him many things including the terrifying harassment and difficulties I had undergone and to request for justice in the interest of good governance, equity and fair play.”
