BENGALURU: The Lokayukta Special Court on Tuesday granted time to former Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao to appear before it on September 23 in a case related to corruption and extortion scam.
Allowing Rao's application seeking time to appear before the court, Lokayukta court adjourned the hearing to September 23.
In his application, Justice Rao cited the grounds that the summons was served with short time and his health is not permitted to appear before the court today. He also stated that the SIT considered him as witness and later as accused in the case and he is yet to get the details of chargesheet filed against him.
