BENGALURU: Karnataka chief minister’s media advisor filed a complaint alleging that a fake twitter account closely resembling CM's twitter handle is spreading derogatory tweets.
In his letter to the superintendent of police (SP), cyber crime division of CID, Siddaramaiah's media advisor Dinesh Amin Mattu said, "A twitter handle in the name of CMofKarnataka has been hindering the image of the chief minister and spreading false rumours.”
The letter said, "Initially the twitter account of CMofKarnataka had posted few derogatory tweets. However, the account was deactivated later. But now, the new twitter handle is actively posting derogatory messages."
