SHIVAMOGGA & BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the Congress party will not form any alliance with other political parties to fight 2018 Assembly elections.

At a press conference here on Saturday, Siddaramaiah said he had spoken about an alliance with other political parties to keep communal forces at bay at the national level and not at the state level.

He said there is a need for political parties to come together to fight communal forces in the country.
He said the same was not applicable to Karnataka. Siddaramaiah said there are two cabinet berths lying vacant which will be filled up soon.

He said the state government is yet to receive a proposal from the Central government regarding VIPs and VVIPs not using the red beacon on their vehicles. He said a decision on the same will be taken once it is received.

On eggs being given only to SC and ST kids at anganwadis, the CM said he has taken note of this issue and will extend this facility to other children too.
