H D Kumaraswamy threatens to pull out of BBMP coalition in Karnataka

H D Kumaraswamy threatened to break the coalition in the BBMP council, saying that he would take a final call after a meeting with all the JD(S) corporators.

BENGALURU: A day after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah dismissed the JD(S) as a party that would not win anything, JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy said they would leave people searching for Congress in the state after the Assembly elections. He also threatened to break the coalition in the BBMP council, saying that he would take a final call after a meeting with all the JD(S) corporators.

On Wednesday, Siddaramaiah had met AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi with the seven rebel JD(S) MLAs, including Zameer Ahmed Khan and said the seven would be joining Congress in December or January. He also said that JD(S) was restricted only to three or four districts.
