B’luru-Amsterdam direct flights from Oct 29

BENGALURU: Jet Airways will begin the operation of its daily non-stop service from Bengaluru to Amsterdam from October 29. The flight is a part of the airlines’ initiative to connect Indian cities to its international gateways.

The service seeks to link India’s Information Technology and commercial hub to Amsterdam - the capital of the Netherlands.Alphonsus H M Stoelinga, Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, said that the Netherlands is India’s hub in Europe and accounts for about 20 per cent of all Indian exports to the European Union. “It is also a hub for travellers as the number of visas we issue to Indian citizens is increasing at 25 per cent every year,”he said.
