I didn’t denotify any land, BJP wants to tarnish my image: CM

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has refuted all the allegations of denotification made against him, calling them ‘baseless, frivolous and politically motivated’.

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has refuted all the allegations of denotification made against him, calling them ‘baseless, frivolous and politically motivated’. He was responding to BJP MLC B J Puttaswamy’s allegations that he had influenced the denotification of 6 acres and 16 guntas acquired by BDA in Bengaluru North taluk for the formation of RMV 2nd stage.

Siddaramaiah said, “I have no role in this at all. There are no documents to show or any piece of paper that says I have passed an order denotifying any land in Bhoopasandra.”He added, “The BJP wants to tarnish my image because they know they are going to lose the elections. They have released select facts and suppressed others. I have not denotifed any land in Bhoopasandra.”

“The letter given to me by MLA Vasanth Bangera had sought denotification of only four revenue sites as they had not been developed. This was forwarded to the BDA who opined that the land vested with them could not be given back, and the matter ended there,” he said.He said his son Yathindra was also being dragged into issues he was not connected to.
