Traffic curbs in central areas of B’luru today

Owing to the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday afternoon, traffic restrictions have been imposed on several stretches.

BENGALURU: Owing to the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday afternoon, traffic restrictions have been imposed on several stretches.

The President will visit Vidhana Soudha to inaugurate the monument’s diamond jubilee celebrations. As per Karnataka State Police, between 10 am and 12.30 pm, traffic will be restricted at Raj Bhavan junction, Ali Asker Road junction, Infantry Road, Coffee Board junction, Ambedkar Road, Gopal Gowda Circle and Dr Ambedkar Veedhi Road.

Between 12 noon and 2pm, restrictions might be in place at Ambedkar Veedhi Road, Dr B R Ambedkar Road, Balekundri Circle, Queen’s Road, Cubbon Road,K R Road, M G Road, C B Road junction, Domlur, Indiranagar 100ft Road, Manipal Hospital, ISRO junction, Rajeshwari theatre junction and HAL Old Airport Road.

City police have put in place elaborate security arrangements at Vidhana Soudha. Staff members of the Soudha have been given leave for the first half of the day in lieu of the function.
