Biker comes in front of PM’s convoy, removed

In a freak incident, a 30-year-old biker came before the convoy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Palace Road on Sunday.

BENGALURU: In a freak incident, a 30-year-old biker came before the convoy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Palace Road on Sunday. Policemen deployed at the Cauvery junction took him to the police station for further enquiry. A senior police officer from Central division said that around 3.30pm the PM’s convoy was moving towards Palace Grounds to attend the Saundarya Lahari recitation programme organised by Vishwa Bharati.

One Venkatesh, a garment factory employee, came before the convey and he was immediately stopped near Cauvery junction and taken, fearing a security breach. Venkatesh was unaware of the police deployment and the PM’s movement. As the road seemed empty, he just headed out for lunch and his move was not intentional, the officer added.
Senior police officials were informed of the incident, sources in the police department said.
