MADIKERI: District police and ANF teams continued the combing operation in Kakkabe forest under Bhagamandala range forest limits. The operation was initiated on Tuesday evening following the visit of Naxals to a house in Naladi near Napoklu on Monday evening.
According to sources, the team of Naxals which visited Koyanadu a fortnight ago along the Kodagu -Dakshina Kannada border is the same team which visited Napoklu. The team visited coffee grower Muthanna’s estate and writer Pemmaiah’s house inside the estate at around 5.30 pm.
The team introduced themselves as Naxals and asked the family members to prepare pork. The team had dinner at Pemmaiah’s house and left around 10.30 pm.
