Amit Shah lashes out at Karnataka state government

Shah said BJP won in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand, Assam, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and recently Goa because of the hard work done by the members.

KALABURAGI: BJP national president Amit Shah utilised the opportunity of divisional level BJP SC Morcha Convention held at Kalaburagi to put Congress in an embarrassing situation by asking it what it had done to the father of the Constitution Dr Ambedkar during his lifetime as well as after his death.
Amit Shah who inaugurated the SC Morcha Convention of BJP dared AICC president Rahul Gandhi to answer his question.

“Rahul Gandhi is touring some parts of Karnataka now. Let him tell how his party treated Dr Ambedkar during his lifetime and after his death. On one hand Congress says that it is the party which treats Ambedkar as social reformer and it is he under whose chairmanship the Constitution of India was prepared and because of this Constitution, Dalits were developing on par with other people of different communities. On the other hand when Ambedkar contested for Lok Sabha elections, instead of supporting him, it fielded its own candidate and defeated Dr Ambedkar,” Shah said.

Continuing his attack, Shah said Congress government at the centre declined to conduct last rituals of Dr Ambedkar at Raj Ghat and forced the family members and followers to perform his last rituals at Mumbai. The party which calls itself as the champions of Dalit cause, had not conferred Bharat Ratna award to Dr Ambedkar when that party was in power in the country.

Let Rahul Gandhi answer these questions, Amit Shah challenged. The tears of Congress for Dalits are only crocodile tears, he stated. On the other hand it is the BJP which has conferred Bharat Ratna Award to Dr Ambedkar when it came to power in the country. It has taken up rejuvenation of Diksha Bhumi of Dr Ambedkar at Nagpur, he added.

Govt least bothered about farmers: Shah
Amit Shah said, “Under Siddaramaiah’s rule, farmers, Dalits and adivasis are in  distress. “This is because he is ruling like Nizams and it is evident from farmer suicides. Government is least bothered about farmers as they have not taken any steps to prevent suicides,” he said.  Shah expressed confidence in the booth level committee members. He said BJP won in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand, Assam, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and recently Goa because of the hard work done by the members.
