BENGALURU: Prior to the Co-ordination Committee meeting on Sunday, JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda's visit to Kumara Krupa Guest House raised several eyebrows. Though the visit was only for a couple of minutes, the presence of AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka, K C Venugopal at the venue, set the tongues wagging.
Venugopal, who had arrived on Saturday night, was staying at the guest house, ahead of the scheduled meeting at 3.30 pm on Sunday. Deve Gowda arrived at Kumara Krupa around noon and said that he had only visited the place to 'freshen up'.
Sources said that the former PM was there for only two to three minutes and did not actually meet Venugopal.
