MYSURU: After a hiatus of a few months, a churning has started in Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha with the return of its ‘new found’ leader Darshan Puttannaiah. He will take part in the ‘national highway bandh’ call given by Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha in association with Swaraj India party on July 21 in Ballari district.

Darshan who had contested the recent assembly polls on Swaraj India party ticket from Melukote failed to make it. Darshan secured 73,779 votes against C S Puttaraju of JD(S).

On Sunday, Darshan, who took part in a meeting organised with farmer leaders, told Express, ‘‘I want to start from scratch as I have learnt many things, especially after losing the elections. I had a penchant for being a part of any movement since my early age. The forthcoming movement on July 21 will set the tone for my future course of action.”

On his plans to bid  adieu to his plum career abroad, Darshan said, “I hold a majority of shares in Qwinix Technologies at Denver and talks are on to sell them, but nothing is finalised as such.”
