Karn­at­aka Congress to follow Udaipur model, six committees set up

BENGALURU: The Karn­at­aka Congress is all set to hold ‘Nava Sankalpa Chin­tana Shivir’ on the lines of the AICC’s ‘Chintan Shivir’ which was held in Udaipur. KPCC president DK Shivak­umar on Monday told rep­orters about 500 delega­tes including MLAs, MPs, ex-MLAs and leaders from the party will take part in a brainstorming sessions over current issues ranging from economics to social justice, and provide a road map for the party.

The committees including for economic aff­airs headed by M Veerappa Moily as chair­man and Rajiv Gowda as coordinator, K Ra­h­­­man Kh­an for social jus­t­ice and empowerment, B K Haripr­asad for state’s pa­rty’s organisation with Na­sir Hussain as coor­din­ator, M B Patil for agric­ult­ure, educa­tion, women emp­o­w­erment, education and employment for Krishna Byregowda with Sharat Bachegowda as convenor have been set up. Ex-depu­ty CM Dr G Parames­hwara has been made chairman of pol­itical affairs and AICC progr­a­mmes impleme­nta­tion committee. The six panels will discuss the issues.
