The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of Youth Congress leader Ancheri Baby has directed CPM leaders O G Madanan and A K Damodaran to appear before it in connection with the case on Tuesday and Wednesday morning respectively.
Madanan has been asked to appear at the circle inspector’s office in Adimali on Tuesday, said the police.
Damodaran has been directed to present himself at the same place on Wednesday.
Though the duo were asked to appear before the SIT last week, they failed to do so citing that the case filed by CPM leader M M Mani was pending before the Kerala High Court.
The Special Investigation Team’s move comes in the wake of the Kerala High Court rejecting Mani’s plea challenging the SIT’s move to book cases against him in the Ancheri Baby murder case.
Anchery Baby was killed on November 13, 1982.
